I answered my own question. It indeed does matter what port I point the browser to. http://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin does in fact do the trick. This is an important step if the server is not running on the default port 80.

Re: How to set up your Pi as your web server

Hello Ken, I've been following your guide to install a LAMP setup. Thanks for putting together such a comprehensive resource. Like others have mentioned in this forum, I too am running into the error where http://localhost/phpmyadmin does not load the admin page. Trying to load the html files under ...

Re: Moving from 4gb to 16gb SD with NOOBS

[The NOOBS team have this under active development, but I am guessing that any fix will not be retrospective to already installed systems, only to new installations after the fix is released?] Yeah, it looks like NOOBS 1.2 will fix this. Looks like I jumped on the bandwagon 0.1 too early. It'll be ...

No. The SD card came out of box with a standard FAT partition. I'll give the formatter tool another go later tonight.

I added hdmi_mode=4 to the end and it scaled back the resolution. eLinux.org has a whole list of options available to set the resolution to your liking. http://elinux.org...

Moving from 4gb to 16gb SD with NOOBS

Hello RPi community, I installed NOOBS on the 4gb SD card that came with my RPi kit. I have been lurking the internet and RPi forums on how to configure Raspbian. So far I have been able to configure VNC, install NOIP, get a rudimentary web server running, and do some other customizations. I've pour...

Re: A2SERVER for Raspberry Pi

I went to your website to download Pi Copier and spent the next hour pouring over your A2SERVER documentation. I rushed out last night to buy a new SD card to give it a shot. I have both an Apple IIe and IIgs that are ready. I'll let you know when I get around to giving it a shot. http://www.flickr....
