Re: Adjustable IR Reflection Sensor

Hi Davros I think the best advice I can give you is to get yourself a digital multi meter. If you are going to be experimenting with your Pi adding external electronics you are going to need to measure voltages at some point or you are going to damage your Pi. In your current situation if you had a ...

Re: RPi ssh via Ethernet cable directly

As there will be no dhcp to issue IP addresses to your laptop and PI all you need to do is set a static of fixed IP on both the Pi and your laptop. to do that on your Pi https://pi-hole.net/faq/how-do-i-set-a-static-ip-address-in-raspbian-jessie-using-etcdhcpcd-conf/ you did not say what os you were...

OK, so if it works on your friends SFTP server then it would suggest that you need a server running to connect from android, which is what I suggested originally.

Hi.

So you have samba installed which allows you to share files with windows pc's, but samba is not a ftp server if you wish to ftp in to your Pi from what ever device, you need to be running an FTP server on your Pi.

Hi.

yes relay switching needs to work at 3.3v some of the 5v ones will work but it seems to be a bit hit and miss from the posts on here.

Re: Start PC via Raspberry Pi [HELP]

you can do this with a simple relay, you drive the relay on/off using the GPIO and connect the relay normally open contact in place or even in parallel with your pc switch. you can also use opto-isolators to achieve the same but you need to get the output of the opto-isolator the right way round for...

If you don't have a screen connected I assume you are using ssh to connect to your Pi.
form the command line you can run raspi-config.
under Internationalisation options you will find Change keyboard layout.
