This cable will also work with some modems as it is a 9-pin female to Ethernet adapter. Also I know that at Maplin they sell 9-pin female to 9-pin male cables(http://www.maplin.co.uk/nikkai-pure-connectivity-serial-null-modem-9-pin-female-to-9-pin-female-3m-97740).

Possibly by solder, but I my self have very little knowledge in this area as hardware hacks arent really my thing!

Im thinking of removing the ethernet port from a Pi model B and replacing it with a laptops wireless networking chip to create a "WiPi". I have 2 questions: Could it work and should I bother?

Is it possible to run windows on a pi? i was told that it might be able to run indows vista or earlier but im not sure however i dont want to try it as it may fry my pi
