That's a pretty sweet way of using an eink display! I'd still make it detachable tho.

Re: Learning vehicle monitoring and control

I haven't been on this thread for a while...

But to answer your question, at my end at least, not progressed much at all, been on other things. May get something up sooner or later.

It would be great to see the others progress on here tho.

You should patent that quote before its too late ;)

So long as you install an on screen keyboard and screen rotation, debian should work even if it is soft float. But don't hold me to that!

If you are getting garbage text, the most likely cause is baud rate issues.

Re: Amstrad Emailer Hacks Using RPi

Seen as there's not much action here I'll offer some info on the parts, first being the card interface... Its based around an TDA8004T chip. The pin outs for the PCB (pcb-1762*03), with the wires pointing down and read from left to right... 1. Vddp (5v) 2. OFF 3. CMD VCC 4. RST (connected to a trans...

Amstrad Emailer Hacks Using RPi

Here's an interesting bit of kit to play with, and since the amserve service ended July 2011, the device is now 'non-functional', but hopefully I can use the pi to get it working again. Either by using the pi to boot Linux onto the emailer or replace its guts with a pi, tho as I have seen online re-...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

I have found one difference between the full and the pocket editions, sea level on the pocket edition is one block higher than the full version level data. The pi edition is also half the height and distance of the pocket edition (based on the most recent version). Plus a reduction in what blocks yo...

Its 5 mins from the station, Google gist hub sheffield, you should be able to get the directions. Everyone goes to the main reception of the building it's under, gist hub is down the alley at the side.

Trying to find the source code would be the first hurdle, then IF it compiles you need the data files... it should be like what was done to make quake 3.

Hi CB,

Apologies for not replying sooner, but we at The Magpi are doing our best to compile a list of projects for you.

Could you give us any deadline details or any other details we may need?
