Re: Bluetooth Keyboard

Yep TWM is ancient but it's so much nicer than all the new stuff... I have successfully done all of the above, but the keypresses display nothing. So I'm just curious if there is anything that can sniff the incoming bluetooth packets? Or maybe the keypresses are ignored because of some obscure reaso...

Re: Bluetooth Keyboard

I use TWM, so I don't have the applet menu bar... so I need to do that manually. But my problem is not pairing and connecting that part worked, my problem is detecting if the keystrokes are getting to the raspberry and why they don't type anything.

Bluetooth Keyboard

So I managed to get the keyboard paired with bluetoothctl, but when I type on it no text appears, how can I debug that?

Re: Old BCM2836 RPi 2?

Because they become too hot at 100% and I prefer longevity.

My use case is a server cluster so I don't care that much about the performance of the BCM2837.

Re: 800x600

My problem is I get a black screen...

I'll try some of the config.txt workarounds.

Edit:

HDMI_FORCE_HOTPLUG gets the display working at 640x480.
HDMI_SAFE gets the display working at some weird resolution.

Re: ANY HELP with Java + Pulse Audio Please

Edit: This should work, but for me it doesen't; just chookes the java process by +100% CPU and audio only comes through rarely when java tries to play new stuff... sudo apt-get install libpulse-java Files can now be found: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/jni/libpulse-java.so /usr/share/java/pulse-java...

Re: Aeon Alpha

It runs on RPi 2 but the framerate is too low ~10...

I haven't tested OpenJDK, but as a general rule I always use the original Java for best performance.

Edit: Now OpenJDK is your best option.

Re: OpenGL driver in new Rasbian image

Just some feedback about RPi graphics drivers in general: - at 1370x768 both drivers work. (which is kinda funny since linux on x86 ignores this resolution completely, even discrediting it as an unsupported resolution, and falls back to 1920x1080) - on 800x600 only the experimental driver works!? - ...

Re: 64bit vs 32bit benchmark. Eben was right

Yes, and since they are stuck at 1GB RAM with this architecture, next new Pi (not A+ or zero mods) will probably be a complete overhaul... if it's not USB3 I will be very sad, 32 or 64 is meh...

Any release date for the OpenGL driver to work with video too?

Re: Metal Case and WiFi antenna

I was thinking you would use the case as the antenna, with a cable soldered to the PCB antenna and screwed into the case after you scratch the paint off to create a good connection.
