Re: RS Components

I got one as well from a registration at 7:15am.

The site was down for an hour in-between 6:15am and 7am so hopefully not too many other people managed to register

Re: There's a time and a date on the front page...

Meh that sickdeals thread _only_ has 10k views

Its the slashdotting you want to be worried about. Even static web pages have problems with that kind of influx.

Its actually a myth that web servers can handle thousands of hits at once, they cant.

Just another "well done" from me.

Cant believe bandwidth is an issue these days though. Tonnes of people on the forums able to mirror. Just start off a torrent and the dd mirrors will pop up right away.

How about doing the same as Apple

"Made in China - Designed in the UK"

Oh and I've listed all the cases on my forum if you don't want to go through 40+ pages to find them this link might be better

There was also a youtube video posted by one of the ebay beta board buyers.

Internet browsing looked very slow.

Re: Helping out with R-Pi hosting

Bearing in mind the kind of people who come here, I think most of us have hosting of some kind

My idea is to create a web repository of any raspberry pi 3rd party programs released. Something like an open source app store.

Hey mate, good to see you over here

I'm also a fellow edugeeker.

I started my own forums (specifically for our school programming classes) which I hope provides a faster community than the official sites.

I also post of edugeek so will get involved over there.

As always there is a VERY thin line between Lobbying and "Bribery"

Some would call it the same....

Re: Wordpress website

Wordpress is pretty much the market leader for simple blog platform.

It is very nice to use for non computer people.

Or you can use an online one like google's blogspot if you want something simpler.

A couple for me for testing
