Re: Working Fisheye Lens?

Nice. If you want to get rid of the CA (the colored edges) you can use the free ViewNX2 viewer/editor from Nikon (Mac and Windows). It has an outstanding CA removal tool. Can be downloaded from: https://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/56796 Looks good. I'm probably not planning ...

Hope it works for you! I've got a stream running at http://109.145.254.207:8091/streaming/stream.m3u8 at the moment that can be watched via VLC. See how long the RPi can stay up for if multiple people connect! Leo LOL It work very nice, I'm watching your back garden rignt now ;) You can watch the t...

That reminds me, I need to finish writing details of how to trigger the BigTrak rocket via IR. Hold the front page! So is that little black thing an IR receiver? Yep. The full sized BigTrak uses IR to fire the rockets, whereas the BigTrak Jr. connects directly to the rockets and runs a current thro...

That is odd, it says it is incompatible with my device and is not available in my country. I am currently in the US. Hmm, no idea on that one then. I'm in the UK but wouldn't have expected it to be limited by region in that way. I also have it installed on my phone and Transformer Infinity I guess ...

Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

Yeah, I actually used that blog to try, but there are a lot of VLC players on the app store so I picked 2 I thought would work. I tries VLC Direct Pro, and Joe's VLC and they didn't work. I also tried MX Player, but no success. Could you point me to the link for the VLC you use that works? I use ht...

Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

I had another play with this last night, but still not much success. Sometimes I could get a bit of video, but mostly not. I could see your live stream without a problem however, so I think my laptop is configured OK - I even timed it right to see a train go by ;-) This time of day you get a train ...

That looks exactly like the lens I am using! Same text along the rim, same ridges, same everything. But mine is blurry no matter how I position it. Yours isn't blurry? When I was manually holding it up in front of the lens it did look a little blurry. The distance shot is a bit more pleasing to loo...

Re: Working Fisheye Lens?

Well, I certainly didn't expect to see this much activity from my simple question about fisheye lenses. It sounds like nobody has gotten a fisheye lens working yet, then. Right? Possibly no better than was originally reported. I've just put the fisheye lens on my camera board here which you can loo...

Once VLC has run out of video to stream I suspect its closing the network connection.

Does the raspicam preview window open up on the HDMI output to confirm that video is being captured?

no luck there either. here is what I put into the command line: raspivid -o - -t 99999999 |cvlc -vvv stream:///dev/stdin --sout '#rtp{sdp=rtsp://:8554/}' :demux=h264 Hmm that should work. Hi Appreciate it's early days but I am finding that the following pair of command stops transmitting video after a few minutes: On Pi: raspivid -t 999999 -hf -o - | nc macmini 5001 The timeout is in milliseconds so you may need to increase that (add a few more 9s!). 999999 should give you 16 minute...

@LeoWhite Now THAT'S a lens mount. LOL and its driven by the Raspberry Pi itself! Couldn't get it into exactly the position I wanted as I was running out of room on the window sill. Hi, Im getting as far as Texy but noticed the port number is not in the command, how is this set-up ? You can configure a different port number by adding it to the end of the URI specified in the command line. So to output on port 8080 you could pass in index-url=http://192.168.0.8:8080/streaming/s...
