Re: YOU SUCK: the venting thread

This snow already sucks, because prepayment gas meters have a battery in them and they die in the cold. And I am on callout starting this evening so I am gonna be busy. Just took my manometer out of the van as it was frozen solid!

Get Banksy on board and it'll sell for millions, even if he were to just scrawl "I suck!" on it!

I think it is cheating to have the original board to solder onto.  Send a bit of old cornflakes pack and some tin foil for them to create their own board with, the cheating lazy want-it-alls!

I have been looking at wireless keyboards, I like the idea of a track pad instead of the numpad but still not entirely sure!

<t>INCOMING WAR STORY:<br/> <br/> When I was down in the Falklands, double decker bars were the bait of choice for little nippers. Incredibly sticky and obviously very more-ish! It took us weeks to get rid of the mice in the hangars, that had had six months from the previous tenants leaving scraps a...

Sweet! Would it make more sense to run XBMC as a standalone to ensure all of the resources are being used by XBMC alone and not on an OS also?  I have never used XBMC so am not totally sure what all the fuss is about, but all of these people can't all be wrong!

So, let me get this straight: I can have a PC style OS on my SD card, but could power off, switch SD card and have XBMC running instead?  Is that right, or can I do it all from one SD card?

Can VLCPlayer convert also?  I seem to recall it can rip DVDs, which I didn't know until quite recently! I am a biff at this stuff, I have programs that can probably do far more then what I make it do!

<t>It seems all the websites I want to look at lately are going down, maybe that has something to do with them being exciting (for a small group of people perhaps, but they are!) and the latest is the McLaren website; with the MP4-27A being revealed today the website hosting the live stream has been...

<t>How strange that you mention Game of Thrones, I was just watching episode 8 - The Pointy End.  It is an awesome series, brought to my attention originally due to songs by Blind Guardian who I believe are massive fans of the series of books.  Can't wait for the next series already, I think this on...

It shouldn't be hard to try it out, I certainly will.  I remember it from school, on an Archie, and the boot up time impresses me now that I realise how long Windows takes to boot!

<t>Got to agree on the subject of squirrels: I like to see red squirrels, fat chance of that in most of England though and for that reason I despise the greys with a passion. <t>It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the RasPis to sell out, I believe some people may be massively distorting the time it will take to sell them all. <t>With regards the pipboy, flat batteries from phones would be the best bet. And i don"t mean discharged, but flat in profile.
