OK, very interesting. First, the keyboard worked again in the installer. But I could not set an en-us locale. No matter what I selected, it always went back to the en_GB default. Still no luck. I have tried new keyboard and mouse. So far have tried a Dynex model DX-MKB101 keyboard, a Dell L100 keyboard, a gigaware small retractable mouse, a logitech mouse and a microsoft mouse. None of them works.
