Re: Wiki in German

Speaking of which, there seem to be a handful of inaccuracies in the French Wiki: 512 MB RAM mentionned somewhere, USB-Stick size, no clear USB porrs count for the different versions... Should I go ahead and correct those ?

Re: Which preinstalled OS and config ?

<t>I was aware of that, but apart from the fact that the Ubuntu vs Fedora choice does not sound final, it says nothing about what exact packages/features will be included, if there will be several standard premades (starter dev, media player, server, advanced dev... ? A standard minimal install with...

Re: Which preinstalled OS and config ?

<r>Hi.<br/> <br/> You mentioned SD cards w/ preloaded OSes will be offered with the R.Pi. Is it too early to ask for a bit more details, such as OS, version, and the packages and tools included ? More specifically, will there be a server-oriented version ?<br/> <br/> I'm looking into using the R.Pi....

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

Hey, since this is in the off-topic section, I've got an anecdote to share. I insist it's authentic, because it' more or less its only quality: at that Republican shindig Saturday in the US, there was a stand selling... deep-fried butter sticks.

Re: How to get back into programming ?

Hey Eben, you forgot "10 " in front of "print" ^^.. That does look familiar.

Thanks for the answers guys. I'll give Python a spin, especially since there seems to be a Android version too. Project 1 will be that RSS mashup thingy, I've got it all spec'ed out.

Prolly 2 Bs, one to get up and running asap as a NAS/FTP/Torrent server, the other one to mess around with.

I don't want to hijack the thread with my concerns, I've said my piece. I'm in the market for a cheap corded keyboard with a well-supported, integrated pointing device, and a Damn Good USB hub ^^

Re: What have we missed?

<t>@abishur: interestingly enough, your laptops already do have a keyboard, mouse/trackpad, wifi, hard disk, and probably bluetooth too. Imagine having none of those and only 2 ports... wouldn't you feel restrained, as in "hub mandatory... couldn't they just have included more ports" ?<br/> On a sid...
