PI as a Wireless Router

Hello all,

Is possible to have both the Ethernet and a USB Wireless networks active at the same time? If so, can the PI route packets from the Wireless to the Ethernet network acting as a access-point?

Thank you.

Re: Bluetooth adapter resetting Pi

learned something new, did not realize the PI was very picky when it comes to hot-pluging usb devices. This fully explains the problems I am having too.

Thanks.

Maybe the Bluetooth device draws too much current, are you using a powered usb hub?

Re: Distorted Microphone Input

I think it is more of a Linux issue verse a PI. I experienced similar behavior on my Desktop with various sound devices. The way I got around this problem was to use a sound card that is known to work.

Re: ADXL345 Accelerometer

I don't believe there's a voltage regulator on the breakout board. It's a Sparkfun (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9836), which only has a couple of capacitors for noise suppression (or something like that -I'm no expert). Any other thoughts? Well, according to the information on the page "2.0-3...

Re: ADXL345 Accelerometer

I tried probing the connections, and I have a solid 3.27V on the supply so I don't think the chip is under-powered. I've considered wiring it to the 5V line, which I'm pretty sure I've read someone else do somewhere without detrimental effects, but I don't want to put the chip under unnecessary ris...

Remote Stream Capture

I apology for so many questions in this short duration of time, this Camera Module is very exciting to me. I understand how to create a stream using raspivid and ncat, my question is, what is an easy method for creating a listening socket on a second linux box that will record the stream to a disk f...

Re: does the micro USB cable itself matter?

May I ask please, I was connecting up my Pi to a 7 port hub and noticed that it booted before I connected the micro-usb port to its own power source. My question is, is it safe to power the Pi from the the same 7 port hub and leave the mico-usb unconnected?

Thank you.
