I see the 35$ one comes with a keyboard and a mouse, is it worth it? Do I need anyt...

Any thoughts? bob I haven't used any HDMI to VGA dongles myself but, IIRC according to the wiki and other forum posts one "has to tak...

Yes, I have now watched more carefully and the ACT green light blink a few time when I plug the power. After that it seems that this ACT is still on, only very faint (that's why I didn't saw it the first time). Is there any hope? Any measurement I can do? (I have a voltmeter). Thanks Take a look at...

Re: Virgin Super Hub - Pi set up problems

Hello, My old set up was a Virgin cable modem and a Belkin router, worked fine. I've now been supplied with a "Super Hub" and I am having some problems. I've set it up as a router with no wireless, just cable to the Pi. I'm trying to do away with the Belkin router (one less thing to go wrong). From...

Thank you very much, just a little question about the LED's, the ones I chose are 2.2-.2.25V but let's say I put 3V through the LED. How long would it take to break? Just precautions and how bright will it be when I put 1 or 1.5V through it? Is there a formula to calculate it? 2.2 - 2.25V is the LE...

Re: Help with troubleshooting headless setup

It's possible your SD card has become corrupted, especially if you've just been "unplugging the Pi" without using "sudo shutdown -h now" (or equivalent) first maybe? You don't need an HDMI/DVI TV/monitor to get a display. If you have access to a TV with an A/V input you just need an RCA (phono) vide...

Re: TV Trouble

LED's appear to be fine - the Pi's probably not detecting your HDMI TV and reverting to low res A/V (yellow RCA socket) by default. Try putting your TV into HDMI mode before booting up the Pi. Other possible issues/solutions can be found on the wiki at http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting#No_HDMI_...

Re: seeing anything on screen

I was "pipped at the post" by DeeJay for my main point :) but would also add: 1) Have you tried with the T.V. switched on and in HDMI mode before plugging in/booting the Pi? 2) Have you tried just using the (albeit low res.) A/V mode via an "RCA yellow plug" cable to the T.V. A/V input (as used by o...
