Re: Compute Module Test Board

ok just to recap I can confirm that usb and ethernet now works :) :D further testing is now to check if i can get the full 480mb of usb2.0 and that the ethernet can get close to the 100mb throughput. this is to determine if the routes i did in eagle cad are correct  :D

Re: Compute Module Test Board

Hi everyone, Just to give a quick update, i am still testing the board out as the diodes are being a pain to solder on, as the pads are so small. I hope to provide more information soon as work is a little quiet at the moment while everyone is on holiday :) also sorry for lack of updates i've had to...

Re: Compute Module Test Board

Ok so I started to do some testing last night as some of the parts I ordered have finally come in. It wasn't booting at all which was quite strange, then I found that there are a couple of diodes in the wrong way so I will have to desolder them and fix that up  which will be tonights job :D

Re: Compute Module Test Board

Hey guys, I thought i would post a quick update, I have recieved the boards yesterday and did a quick test and can confirm that the voltages are correct at 3v3,2v5 and 1v8 they are not fluctuating unlike my first batch which didn't use the pam2306AYPAA chip, I am waiting on a few parts to do further...

Re: Compute Module Test Board

Hello Briarios, Have you made any progress on the testing of the latest batch of boards? I am considering building a few CM BoB's for a project, and it would be quite helpful to have something to build from. On a related note, how have you managed to create matched resistance routed pairs in eagle?...

Yes it is doable, but if it is going to be used for a once off project, you are better off buying the dev board.

HDMI for each and 4x USB each each and a whole bunch of GPIO foreach one ? edit and one 5V supply for everything Hi RaTTus, Yes it will be 4 CM slots with 2 USB Slots Per CM and yes with a 5 Port Ethernet swit...

Re: CM power requirements

I'm a litte confused about CM power requirements. In COMPUTE MODULE HARDWARE DESIGN GUIDE is written that: Supply Minimum Requirement VBAT 2000mW 3V3 250mA In my design like in Raspberry, VBAT voltage is 3,3V. I have also LAN9514 which need 280mA (100Mbit, full duplex). So total current for 3,3V is...

Re: Compute Module Test Board

Very interesting work! Somebody should really bring an alternative IO board for the Compute Module to market. I did not read the whole thread, do you plan releasing the schematics for public use so that in case of demand these can be freely manufactured by someone? I would be interested in a custom...

Unfortunately there isn't any cad files out there for the CMIO at this stage. Someone from the community would need to recreate the files from the schematic that the foundation has provided.

Re: RPi Compute as USB slave

I know it isn't possible to use the RPi A/B as a USB slave, but I am hoping this might be different with the Compute. We're building hardware based on the compute, which communicates trough a LAN9512-JZX. But if it's possible, due to the complexity of using the LAN9512-JZX, we'd rather use the RPi ...

Is the OTG pin grounded?, I think the OTG pin needs to be set in order to boot up as a host controller ( im just looking at the rpi documentation)

Re: CM for Kickstarter - you've piqued my interest

Best suggestion i can give is to show a proof of concept either with cad or something similar so people can see what it may look like in real life.
