Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

<r>Sounds great. Do you have a link to this keyboard?<br/> <br/> Perhaps a stretch: Has anyone seen a similar keyboard which also includes a USB hub (maybe just one port)?<br/> <br/> This keyboard @ dealextreme: <URL url="http://www.dealextreme.com/p/g.....able-55263">http://www.dealextreme.com/p/g....

Re: Conferences and other public appearances

Perchance you wouldn't come any nearer to Latin America than New York anytime soon? Want me to dig up some conferences where you guys could attend/deliver a keynote/tap dance?

Edit: There's Linuxcon Brazil in november: http://events.linuxfoundation......on-brasil/

You, sirs and madam(s?) will go down in the annals of computing history as true heroes (some of you already are, I believe).

Re: Early Adopters?

Are they TOO random or just some numbers missing here and there? It might be they lost some during manufacturing, otherwise they're just going wild with random number generation :P

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

<t>I dunno about you, but I intend to build one into one of those laptop-sized keyboards with embedded trackpad... If it works well, I might even build a few (I have every intention of distributing the Ras-Pi in Brazil, it aligns with everything I believe about cheap computing devices for social int...

Re: How many would you make?

<t>I believe the 10k run is quite enough (if not excessive). I would do them 6.5k model Bs / 3.5k model As and the next batch of revised boards (models C, D and E?) could be manufactured before the initial batch runs out. I also believe the investment in embedding wi-fi on a revised higher-end model...

Re: Case for raspberry pi

Exactly what I've been saying (preaching?), RasPi has great potential as a ZX-like computer.

Re: Foldable keyboard

I was thinking right now that a small keyboard with integrated USB hub would make for the perfect case for a R-pi (think "ZX Spectrum").

Re: Introduce yourself!

<r>Howdy, I'm Ed Mercer from Brazil, I'm a 32 yrs-old lost soul who dabbled with programming for over 15 years, tried for some time to graduate in engineering (first electrical, then robotics), wrote arcade games for a living and then decided to get a degree in Industrial Design (just got my degree,...

Re: Physical design
