Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Second try. No response to first try....... I search for a while and found no answer to this. Its not a big deal but I am curious..... I currently have 3 camera setups running and all installs were done at different times. Each has a different version number I assume coincides with when I installed...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I have not yet received the RC522 module. I'm running tests with PN532. I have on the other hand ''simplified'' or at least lightened it all while removing text that is useless to me. Now I only have the required information displayed on the screen. But I always get an error if I enter the code you...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Thanks, it works for annotation from the user_annotate.txt file. Now, that seems beyond my knowledge about python. I don't see how to take the information from tag reading and update user_annotate.txt file. Here's the program I'm using. It will be easy for me to adapt it to my needs but for the upd...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

You can alternatively edit the /etc/raspimjpeg config file so that it has motion_detection true instead of motion_detection false I would like to automate the toggling of Motion detection. Another raspberry pi would send a command to the one with the camera to change it's state. Would the modifying...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello... This is not a problem but rather a feasibility opinion: Is it possible to take a reading of an RFID and transfer the information into the image annotation field? Tnx You can achieve the annotation part by using the user annotation scheme. See wiki under naming scheme. Basically if you incl...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Thank you very much btidey for your great and fast support. I've noticed if you setup "Video Split" after e.g. 10 seconds, video recording stops and does not continue, except there is "ca 1" in "Period Start" in sheduler. Is this a bug or wanted setting? For me its confusing. When I click record vi...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Thanks for clarifying, I'll try. I found the option "raw layer" what exactly does it? In the documention https://elinux.org/RPi-Cam-Web-Interface I only find rl 0/1 0/1 disable / enable raw layer This setting is a MMAL parameterMMAL_PARAMETER_ENABLE_RAW_CAPTURE. This is primarily of interest in ima...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Somehow my messages seems to be overseen, so I try again: Normally there is an h264 video file created. To play it smoothly with the right fps it needs an container like mp4 or mkv. For that purpose MP4-Box option is included. However there are some cautions mentioned in the manual. To better under...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello.. is there any way to change the color of the buttons when they change status? Ex: turn yellow when "record video start" becomes "record video stop'' Thank you for all the help you give us This should be possible. The script.js parses the state of the buttons and changes labels as required. I...

Re: Sensor Data Over Long wires

In general I avoid long wires connecting sensors for a number of reasons. 1) Potential technical difficulties making them work. Can be overcome in some situations but you also have to supply power to the sensors adding to the difficulty. 2) The aesthetics of having wires trailing around. Can be over...

Re: Detached IP Camera + Media Server = Possible?

Almost certainly possible providing the camera has some form of network capability. E.g. either an IP camera or one made from a Raspberry Pi itself (e.g. ZeroW + Pi camera module).

For today Sunrise for the center of the Netherlands is given as 03:40 and Sunset: 20:26. Both are 2 hours off, the values are 5:40 and 22:26 I suppose summertime is corrected the wrong way? Best way is to set in the scheduler settings for the period start to contain an md 1 command. This will be executed on start up in All Day mode. Re: 433mhz Device unreadable

OOK is a subset of AM modulation where the only two amplitude levels are On and Off. Although it is possible to use multiple levels of amplitude to encode multiple bits per interval, I would be very surprised to see a key fob attempting to do this. I would therefore think that this is actually an OO...

Re: 433mhz Device unreadable

1) Flat battery, or

2) RX software not set up to recognise the code or modulation this sends, or

3) Broken device, or

4) Something else

So eliminate 1, then tell us how you are trying to recognise device is sending.

My preference is to start the other way round. Install normal raspbian then uninstall the stuff you don't want. That way you get the normal desktop and all the normal utilities. E.g. sudo apt-get remove --purge wolfram-engine scratch minecraft-pi sonic-pi dillo gpicview oracle-java8-jdk openjdk-7-jr...

Your original idea of using the 8 row and 8 column lines can work but you will need to do a bit of experimentation to discover how the scanning of the keyboard matrix is being done. http://pcbheaven.com/wikipages/How_Key_Matrices_Works/ gives some nice material on how a keyboard matrix works Normall...
