Controlling servo from Raspberry Pi

Hey guys. I have been researching on the ways to control multiple servos with Raspberry Pi. My first impression was that I need a Gertboard or Arduino for that. I chose Gertboard because it already has ATmega inside. However, later i found out that I can control the servos with just a servo controll...

Re: Unable to upload Arduino sketch

The same problem exists on the GertDuino. You need to use 'Upload Using Programmer' from the file menu rather than using the right pointing arrow icon on the IDE. Ya I did that mistake at first but afterwards I used "Upload Using Programmer" and it still gave me the same error. Does it help if I tr...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I just wanted to ask if I have to rewrite my SD card before I try this out because I've previously installed motion and openCV (which both of them doesnt work very well for me :( ). Will all these crash when put together? Also, I will be expecting to install CherryPy server, so my web app will star...

Live Streaming on the browser

Hello guys, I want to use the Pi camera as a surveillance camera so that I can monitor the house over the internet or network or localhost. I have tried several tutorials on "motion" and "openCV" but there are errors here and there. For motion, i was able to see the camera output on port 8080 but wh...

Oh my! Thanks for the alert before I get my R-Pi blocked in my campus network. Hahaha. :s I will try to get a static IP address from them if it is necessary... Thanks guys! I've tried all your suggestions but it's not working. :( i'm wondering is it because my campus network is dhcp and that's why the static IP that I assign has already being used? then what should i do?

Re: I/O error and Logitech USB Optical Mouse error

Hmm, I've never seen those errors before. It looks like it's complaining about the locale setting you're using. You might want to run this command and set it again. sudo raspi-config Go to Internationalisation Options and set it there. The Pi will then reboot. Also... do you still get these erros w...

Re: SD card write protected

Hey guys, since i've got an external SD card reader before I got my camera, I tried to format the SD card with the ext card reader. It got format perfectly and I could transfer the NOOBS files into it. Now, waiting to get a HMDI cable. ;)

Re: SD card write protected

If you have your camera attached to your PC it is acting much like an external card reader anyway - so if you format it in your camera and copy the files across from your PC to the camera then it is quite likely to work. As long as you use the NOOBS software - you couldn't write the other images th...

Yes, they all seem to support SDHC now. I got the cheapest one I could find (as the one in my old laptop isn't supported by the OS, and can't do SDHC anyway), and it works perfectly. :)

Re: SD card write protected

Built it SD card slots are known to have problems. Sometimes it is because they don't support SDHC cards, which is basically any card over 2GB. The best thing to do is to buy a cheap USB SD card reader from a "pound" shop or similar and use that. They usually work without any problems. Thanks for t...

Re: SD card write protected

Inbuilt card readers are horrible. Perhaps this one doesn't support SDHC cards ? You can try using your camera as card reader instead. ghans Ahh i see. But I can read the card (image files from camera). But will it be risky to format the card and write Image file in the camera itself? Will it cause...
