Interesting, let the pi be a print server, and take that off a busy server or workstation, saving valued clock cycles. This is a very affordable way to add to office functionality.

OK, I accept there are good reasons for raspian using a swap file , and I re sized it in accordance with general good practices in Linux. Now I want to alter the swappiness so the system operates more efficiently and therefore faster. How do I alter swappiness?

ok, tried to do apt-get update. Reports errors, and now chromium loads but gives an "aw snap" error when trying to load ANY page, including a local file.

At this point I feel like starting over and not updating raspian, and living with the current relase, which works.

Could someone very knowledgable on this and also talented at writing writer a tutorial on config.txt, the care and feeding thereof? Overclocking is just one of many fine aspects of this beast, displays and sound are a couple of others.

Running the new wheezy, I dins it is ignoring the screen width and overscan settings in config.txt. Do what I will, IT WILL NOT CHANGE SCREEN SETTINGS, NOR OVERCLOCK. Odd, the prior one did these things nicely. Will someone point me to config 101 to make sure I am doing this rightly?
