Re: Help me with MP3 player

From what I remember when I used audio with the Pi you have to explicitly tell the Pi you want to use 3.5mm over HDMI, it is explained here:

Re: First experience, issues and questions

You can stop the Pi booting into the X window environment by running sudo raspi-config and selecting the "Default Boot Behaviour" option (it may have been moved into the "Advanced" submenu now). Also you could combine the Pi with a microcontroller and do some cool automation type stuff (controlling ...

Re: OpenGL ES Issue

That thread didn't really seem to cover the problem, I'm not looking for tutorials as my code runs fine using the Mesa library on ly laptop, the problem is being able to run it on the Pi. I have included the contents of the Common directory (from the GirHub repo) in my project and have included the...

Re: OpenGL ES Issue

I replaced the shader and program creation/compilation code with an older version which I had, the actual shader code remained the same and this seems to have fixed the problem.

Re: OpenGL ES Issue

I have had a better look at the location of the problem, and it happens on line 49 of https://github.com/benosteen/opengles-b ... esShader.c where type is GL_VERTEX_SHADER.

glGetError returns GL_NO_ERROR.

Re: Multiple Classes with a Text Editor

Personally I use Code::Blocks, it is very easy to use especially for beginners.
It will also compile and link without a makefile (but you should still learn how to write them).

Usually though when I don't use Code::Blocks I just use vi/vim, which is also a good editor to learn to use.

OpenGL ES Issue

I am having trouble getting OpenGL ES to work using the samples from https://github.com/benosteen/opengles-book-samples/tree/master/Raspi , when I run them unmodified all I get is a blank window over the terminal containing whatever the windows was created over, I have also tried the same demos usin...

Re: Pi I2C Digital Potentiometer

I have set up the Pi for i2c and can see the device using i2cdetect -y 1, but I have no idea of how to implement a method to communicate with it, I understand from the datasheet that the data for the command I want is sent using three hexadecimal values, but it doesn't mention anything about registe...

Pi I2C Digital Potentiometer

I want to interface with one of these (http://pdfserv.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/DS1807.pdf) digital potentiometers to control an audio signal level and wondered if anyone could assist in the code theat would allow me to do this. I'm just unsure of how to go from the specification in the data sheet t...

Python Streaming MP3 Player

I have recently been working on a Google Play Music client which I hope to run on a Pi with an LCD, etc for input to make an internet radio. So far I have everything working fine on my Linux Mint (Debian based) laptop using GStreamer to stream the MP3 file that the API provides and pyalsaaudio to ch...
