Re: wxPython install on raspberry pi3 and python 3.6.2.

Do you have any other versions of python3 installed? Maybe it is installed with python3.4 packages.
Try running your python3.6 from the command line and importing wx directly.

Re: Python update to 3.6.2 on pi3 stretch

1. Google symbolic links
2. Use

Code: Select all

which python3.6
to find the location of the code.
It is probably in /usr/local/bin

Re: No shell promt back after plot

The call show() is a blocking call. If you are done altering the figure, you can save it then close it. Closing it will return your shell prompt. If you want to continue working with the plot, you might use the interactive mode: >>> import matplotlib.pyplot as plt >>> plt.ion() #interactive mode on ...

In python you can use either a pair of single quotes or a pair of double quotes around a string. Switch to single quotes until you resolve your problem.

Re: Qt without x11 on Raberry pi 2

About four years ago Andy Nichols ( https://github.com/nezticle ) created a distro called Bsquask that you might find helpful. I don't think it is active but you might do something with it. See https://github.com/nezticle/RaspberryPi-BuildRoot : This sets up a minimal environment to cross compile an...

Re: Tmux not responding

After you understand how to use the tmux prefix, create a .tmux.conf file in your home directory. Google will give you many suggestions for "better" key bindings, status bar information, and other fine-tuning. Sensible ones are <ctrl-a |> and <ctrl-a -> for horizontal and vertical window splitting: ...

Re: Program crash notification

It depends on what is causing your program to crash.
You may be able to use a built-in Exception:
https://docs.python.org/2/library/exceptions.html

The Exception class also allows you to write your own custom Exception.

Re: upgrading pip fails

I had that issue some time ago, which I think was due to having multiple python versions installed. You could try sudo -H pip3 install --upgrade pip or sudo -H pip2 install --upgrade pip Or just download the file pip-9.0.1.tar.gz from https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pip and do something like tar -xzvf ...

Re: Help

You need to display your program properly using the "Code" button. That will give the proper indentation to your code. One of the issues is your line if temp <= read_set: and another similar one further down in your code. These are incorrect. You have defined temp and read_set as functions; you want...

If you have the Chrome browser installed, it should work. (I haven't tried it on a Raspberry, but chromecast works from every device I have the browser on.)

I did [email protected]:~ $ sudo -H pip3 install scapy-python3 I am not sure your present code is not working right under python2.7. Using the 0.0.0.0 address seems to do strange things. Have you tried putting the address of a single other machine on your home network into your code and arping from that m...

I don't think there were any other changes. If I recall correctly, the scapy I tried only documented the option lfilter (="arp") rather than filter (="arp") in your code. However that gave me an error so I reverted to filter="arp"

Since there have not been any responses yet, I will give you my inexperienced opinion. Try python3 instead of python2.7 Starting with python3.3, the virtual environment creation module venv is included in the standard library. It's a bit newer than virtualenv and I have had fewer problems with it. v...
