linux console escape color codes

hello, i am playing with colors on the linux console. but i am struggeling a bit where exactly the supported codes are documented. the standard colors are not the problem they are formated like this: (for light gray foreground on black background) echo -e "\x1b[0;37;40mTEST\x1b[0m" 0..1 = intensity ...

Re: RPi B+ microSD slot

You *can* pull the card out when it's in the "inserted" position but to do so you should face at least a bit of resistance. Can you pull the card out easily? no, there is nearly no resistance. on that one RPi B+ i have, the inserted microSD card slips off very easily - the slot mechanism is in "ins...

RPi B+ microSD slot

hi, today i got me new RPi B+.... yeah .. \o/ (looks very nice and even smaller than the RPi B, because of the even lined up USB ports and the microSD card) the RPi B+ has a microSD cardslot and i thought, that the inserted microSD card would be locked by the 'push-lock/push-unlock' mechanism. but w...

Re: How do I update OpenElec?

So if 4.0 is fine, why did the other guy say something? All I play are avi files from an external drive for the most part. I assume I'm good for that with 4.0? i tried OpenELEC 3.2.4 up to the newest OpenELEC 4.0. use FullHD videomaterial (1920x1080) compressed as MKV by using Handbrake and its "Hi...

Re: Raspberry Pi 512 openelec xbmc movies freeze

If you really are getting nowhere with OpenELEC, try RaspBMC instead. Performance should be near-identical once you get past the slower initial boot-up. http://www.raspbmc.com/download/ thank you very very much    your suggestion to use RaspBMC was very good. i run RaspBM...

Re: OpenElec 4 released

for me, OpenELEC 4.0 is not working well.
freeze video playback of HD material.
i am not happy about that, but i downgrade to OpenELEC 3.2.3 - the very last well working version (for RPi with 512MB)

Re: How do I update OpenElec?

i would suggest you to do not upgrade to OpenELEC 4.0. :( :o OpenELEC 3.2.3 was the last well working version, where i das able to playback SD and HD videos without freeze. i tried OpenELEC4.0 and many beta versions in between of 3.2.4 to 4.0 ans all had problems with hd video playback and freeze my...

Re: How do I update OpenElec?

as OpenELEC told you, simply reboot your system... in OpenELEC under System, OpenELEC, System, Updates, there are these three options: Automatic Updates: auto Show Update Notifications: * Check for updates now: * ... but i think this will not update from OpnELEC 3.x to 4.x. or it is still not availa...
