Re: Stella - Sound Delay

hello welshy, many thanks for the link, i will try out one of these images. Re: Stella - Sound Delay

yes, i have noticed a big delay, ~10 seconds, in sound playback on stella (Atari 2600 emulator) as well. it must be an issue of stella or in combination with raspbian or so. to be sure, i just (2013-09-20) installed stella on a brand new virgin raspbian image (+update, +upgrade, +rpi-update), and i ...

Re: NOOBS v1.3 Beta testers feedback

that means, every time a new version of NOOBS is available, i have to start from scratch? (format SD card, install and setup all OS)... uuuh that not good. Hence the reason that this is a BETA release so that we only publish a final v1.3 release once it's been proved to be robust and stable. ya ya,...

Re: NOOBS v1.3 Beta testers feedback

does/can NOOBS updates/upgrades itself automatically? No. The prime directive of NOOBS is that we never write to the recovery partition! that means, every time a new version of NOOBS is available, i have to start from scratch? (format SD card, install and setup all OS)... uuuh that not good. does/c...

Re: NOOBS v1.3 Beta testers feedback

The reason that @beta-tester got a blank boot-selection window is because of a bug I've already reported to @rdb ;-) i hope the dev notices that and fix it as soon as possible. There's currently (incorrect) code in the NOOBS beta which means that if you change the language (...) Until this bug gets...

Re: NOOBS v1.3 Beta testers feedback

hi, you need beta testers? i have the perfect username for that...  i installed the "lite"/network version to my 16GB SD card (using RPi Type B rev2 512MB, [email protected], keyboard-mouse combi, SD card formated with "SDFormatterv4"). on initial boot up, i changed the language to "Engl...

Re: C64 emulator

hi, i am currently using the c64 (vice) RPi SD image from http://www.mascal.it/rpi64_e.html and i had also speed problems (during sound [drops down the speed down to 20%] and during floppy disk io [slows down the speed about 10'th of the real VIC1541]) to fix this, i used "SDL" for sound output - th...

Re: Windows Embedded Compact 2013

i know, that windows embedded is not an environment to run "normal" native windows applications... and that wasn't my question. (as i know even "full featured" Windows 8 RT on an "higher performance" ARM hardware is not able to run x86 native code - so that is not the point) i only wanted to know, i...

Python Trademark at Risk in Europe

... From the Python Software Foundation’s Blog: There is a company in the UK that is trying to trademark the use of the term “Python” for all software, services, servers… pretty much anything having to do with a computer. Specifically, it is the company that got a hold on the python.co.uk domain 13...

Re: connecting multiple PIs together over I2C ?

thank you all for the many suggestions... if i would use SPI, than i have to reserve for every additional board an additional pin to select - is this right? than i loose too many GPIO pins. damn, why is there the limitation to one master multiple slaves environment only? it would be the absolute per...

Re: conneting multiple PIs together over I2C ?

i don't want use a big network hub/switch - needs too much space and extra power supplies and in case of type A boards, i don't have an internal ethernet port and a 3 wire parallel flat cable + connectors are way cheaper than all other solutions i guess. what will happen, when i connect multiple I2C...

connecting multiple PIs together over I2C ?

hello, my question is, is it possible to connect 8 or more Pi boards together over their I2C ports and let them communicate like with TCP/IP protocol ? (speed doesn't matter - the communication is not heavy) i mean as very cheap intercommunication over I2C connectors (physically a simple bus) and in...

BodhiLinux for RaspberryPI

here, you will find the password: http://www.bodhilinux.com/downloads_mobile.php and here, you will find the image: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bodhilinux/files/ARMHF/Pi/ i tested this image (bodhi-pi-20130102.img.tar.gz) and it feels smoother and quicker than LXDE and it looks way nicer (IMO).
