is there a repository on github that contains all the source code of modification/customization that were made to debian packages for Raspberry Pi OS? don't you need also the bssid with the mac address of the adapter of the wifi you want to connect to (access point)? bssid=<mac_of_access_point> sudo iwlist wlan0 scan [essid <SSID>] e.g.: sudo iwlist wlan0 scan essid "My Hidden SSID" | grep Address Address: 01:23:45:67:89:AB then bssid should be bs...

i am not sure, but i think to remember that you have to give the user "pi" another password first, than the default password "raspberry"
on Raspberry Pi OS.

Re: do i need SWAP on RPi4 with 4GB?

i found the cause of why the SWAP runs full even the (user-)RAM usage is so low... the cause are the buffer/caches. top does not show the processes who is using those buffers/caches? i could not see any changes before and after i cleaned the buffers/caches in the process list restarting the swap did...

Re: ifconfig & gnome-system-monitor: RX bytes overflow at 4 GByte

OK. That means it's a kernel bug (or limitation) and you'll have to ask Linus Torvalds to fix it for you. Linus Torvalds will kick me when a nobody will ask him for fixing it... (and even then, it will not find its way to RaspiOS in time) You can look at the counters on that by using "ethtool...

hi, is it normal, that ipconfig [sic] (and gnome-system-monitor) can not show RX bytes higher that 4GBytes (4294967295 bytes )? Looks like it's probably a bug with ifconfig using a 32-bit unsigned integer. It may be a kernel bug. Do you get the same with ip -s link ? yes, i get the exact same wrong...

hi, is it normal, that ipconfig (and gnome-system-monitor) can not show RX bytes higher that 4GBytes (4294967295 bytes )?
it overflows and then it is starting from 0 bytes again over and over.

is it an issue only for the 32bit Raspberry Pi OS version

Re: New "Can't update Chromium" message?

what happens, when changing update interval to -1?
in many cases this will be interpreted as "all bits are 1" and this is the a number/date you normally will never experience.
(i don't have chromium installed anymore, so i can not test it by myself)

ok, i tried piscope now. i tried to zoom in to the graph as deep as possible. there is look like the gpio4 and gpio7 have the exact same edges. but i am not entirely sure, is i use piscope in the right way... maybe the sample rate is not that high to capture those offset in the range of 20µs. i can ...
