Re: noobie needs help to compile from github

Hi guys, I want to use some code from github to operate a quadcopter. I'm a technician in a university and we need a pi powered quadcopter for demonstration purposes. You haven't mentioned an Operating System running on the RPi. Assuming that it is one of the linux-based systems (Raspbian, Pidora, ...

The reason for persisting with the question is that NOOBS has its own way of configuring the video out so modifying config.txt on the SD card would have been doomed to fail.

Re: Raspberry pi RGB

The spec for your monitor here simply says it has a dsub connector, which I assume means a 15-pin d-type so at a guess the input is likely to be vga. If you look back through previous postings I am pretty sure you will find lots of statements that to get from the HDMI output of the RPi to vga input ...

Which Operating System are you using on your RPi, and was it installed 'directly' (from a .img file) or via the NOOBS Installer?

Re: Want to use the RPi as webserver, got stuck

What specifically was your system doing when it generated that error? (Can you cut-and-paste the console output?) If the error was the one you initially reported, have you tried repairing it using the method suggested in the error message, and with what result? Have you previously made any other cha...

To save you becoming more irritated, did you notice the section of that webpage in bold type where the writer says - [14-June-2013] sakis3g stopped working for me in raspbmc. If you also have problems see bottom of the article where I use wvdial. A similar note appears in the comments: "Dear Readers...

I think you are describing in adult terms what the Raspberry Pi Foundation call a Parent Detector, and they have a project written up in very basic terms here - http://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/parent-detector/ That description is based around their own Raspberry Pi camera module, but I hope you ...

Have you modified your copy of the file /etc/apt/sources.list at any time? What does it contain? Here is mine -

Code: Select all

I am sorry to have wasted your time. And mine.

"I want to find a all-in-one keyboard/case for Rasp Pi... but cannot found. " But you had found the one I pointed out.

"I am desperate" But not sufficiently serious to pay the asking price for something that meets your description.

Re: An idea for a light switch.

No image visible. If you are talking about controlling a real domestic lighting installation, be aware that MAINS VOLTAGES ARE LETHAL AND CAN KILL PEOPLE. Less importantly, connecting mains voltages to the GPIO pins of your RPi will also kill your RPi. Don't take your light switch apart unless you k...

Re: MP3 will not play from python script run at boot

Some more questions along the lines of those already posed... If you know the script is being run at boot time, are you certain that the script has access to both the audio-player and the mp3 file to be played? Where do you expect the audio to be generated? Has the routing to that audio output been ...

The previous product in the Humax range, the HDR-FOX-T2, only came with ftp and dlna content sharing supported 'out of the box'. Perhaps the YouView range is the same? My first suspicion would be inadequate power. Either/both use a better power supply and connecting cable for the RPi, and/or use an external powered usb hub to connect the wifi dongle. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58151 [Edit: duplicated advice typed as @Texy submitted his ...

A couple of thoughts. 1] It doesn't matter what you think is correct... the Python interpreter is the final arbiter of whether or not your script is correct. I don't think you can have tried running your script as I think it will report errors. It doesn't matter that the script is not functionally c...
