Re: HOWTO: Enable USB device mode on Pi Zero

Do you think this image also works with Pi Model A? It should do, but I don't have any A/A+ to test it with here. I tested pi-usbnetwork.img in Pi Model A, but I didn't get the network to respond using ping 169.254.64.64 or ssh [email protected].254.64.64 . I connected it with SD-card inserted to Pi Model B+ ...

Re: HOWTO: Enable USB device mode on Pi Zero

@mob-i-l does that uSD have max_usb_current=1 in config.txt, might it be a power issue? It should re-enumerate serial=1, then the msd.elf gets squirted across & executed. Unlike the linux module method, this gives access to the whole SD. I haven't disassembled them but I guess usbbootcode.bin & msd...

Re: HOWTO: Enable USB device mode on Pi Zero

I have a Raspberry Pi Model A (and not Zero or A+) and I then need files that are hard-coded to gadget mode, because the OTG-ID-pin is connected to ground, i.e. always host. Is there any one that has files that work on Model A. I have a suitable cable (i think -- it works for powering): USB AM/AM: ...

Add / Remove Software (pi-packages): Only Native Packages

In Add / Remove Software (pi-packages/PiPackages 0.1.0), what does "Only Native Packages" under Options-menu mean?

I have installed packages from Ubuntu, but they are listed independent of the check-mark at Only Native Packages.

Where is the source code to pi-packages on GitHub?

Have you checked that your monitor still works with all colors using another computer?

If the monitor works, it could be some bad solder-joints. You could measure continuity with e.g. an ohm-meter.

I did succeed in compiling Freshplayerplugin in Raspbian Wheezy on a Raspberry Pi 2, but it only shows a black box where the Flash should be. Possible solution: keep the overclock settings separate for Pi1 and Pi2, so that transferring to a different version will not activate the wrong set of settings :? SD-card that is overclocked beyond warranty

I student might bring a microSD/SD-card that is overclocked beyond warranty. How do you prevent that? I think it is an advantage that there is no internal flash-memory on the Raspberry Pi, because there can be nothing causing problems when switching SD-cards.
