Just as a small note: Yes the Raspberry-Pi has DMA on most interfaces. It has it on PWM, UART, SPI, and I2C.

I never liked the whole sniping idea.

I do use go-industry but they have a different rule: any bid in the last 10 minutes extends the time by another 10 minutes. Gives better result for the seller.

A lot of users forget that the raspberry-Pi boards come default without connector.

So you can not use the Gertboard without picking up a soldering iron even if it is ready made.

There is no ANALOGUE audio input.

It has PCM and I2S. I have been thinking of making a follow up of the Gertboard which has only two devices: Real time Clock and Audio codec.

No DSI/CSI do not require 5V. The MIPI PHY specification has an upper limit of 600mV. (That is signaling level + common mode voltage). I guess you can make a phy run from as little as 1.2 V.

As to USB and no 5V: I said that you can probably run of 3.3V Ifyou do not use USB/Ethernet.
