Thank you for your explanation. I am using the latest Raspbian download BUT I copied my entire /home/pi from my previous installation. I suppose it copied old configurations of GTK (or other presentation layer software) over the upgraded ones. Any idea of the files I should look after ?

Geany seems a great IDE but on the Pi, display are not legible: I have no borders for buttons, boxes, tabs, etc. Am I the only one? Where is the configuration for this so I can correct? Any known workaround? Thanks!

Thanks for pointing this issue.

For me, it makes the "basic Pi" rather unsuitable for sensor data storage as the SD when corrupt after only two months of service !

Searching Internet, it seems to be issues when upgrading initramfs-tools. As suggested, I will have a try with another card but not exactly the same setup... If it is the SD card (recent Kingston 8Gb from a reputed source), it means RPi is no good for Real Time data collection even using RRD and 10 ...

I modified the hardware so I do not need to switch GPIO input/output mode anymore.
I hope my report could help solve some tricky concurrency problem probably hapenning in GPIO driver...

I just bought a K400 and it was NOT working...
I added in /etc/rc.local the rmmod and "modprobe hid-logitech-dj" that another post suggest.
Then it is OK in the console (or rsh) but the local keyboard layout is lost in LXE (manual startx).
With another keyboard, it is OK in console and LXE.

In the new and nice Quick Start Guide, a little omission in Step 5 d) :
after doing expand_rootfs, one must select <Finish> and confirm <yes> to reboot.
