The 1-wire sensors work very well with arduino and with the RPi. They are cheap - effectively you are looking at the cost of 2 or 4 core cabling to the relevant places.

I'm interested in the schematics for controlling relays to replace a normal controller clock.

OK, reimaged and then ran update (twice) and am now running upgrade. It is entirely possible that something was a bit fubar with the initial image and my sporadic installations since.

You shouldn't need the arduino as the Pi has all the hardware connections you need through the GPIO header to run servos. Using something like motion you should be able to get it to follow subjects as well automatically.
