Hi,
I use raspbian image from Raspberry Pi site without any aditional (non official) update. I did test steps from previous post in this thread, and everything was O.K. .

Re: Raspberry B or not Raspberry B?
Hi, unplug everything , even SD card, be sure SD card isnt read only, plug SD card and power micro USB only, wait couple of minute and observe PWR and ACT led . From your picture i saw you use HDMI to VGA adapter which may draw power from RPi, same is with USB conection cable (spouse that is Keyboar...

Re: Polyfuse F3 austauschen
1.1A fuse should have max 0,2 ohms... Should, but RPi doesn't. Way no one knows exactly. For example the new one bought yesterday (yes, i have few) have 0,8 ohms and work normal, of course my power supply have 5.34V (one of my product). If you like you may put new one with better specification, but...

Re: Polyfuse F3 austauschen
HI, sorry for English, understanding German is relatively easy for me, but writing is something else :) . In your case i will suggest you to found power supply with 5.24V output. F3 is O.K. , bad characteristic come from bad selected parts, which is unfortunately standard case on most RPi. Also stan...

Re: DS18B20 logging suddenly stopped
Hi, It is nice to hear that your RPi is working correctly :) . Your LED blink dont work if you start w1-gpio, because that kernel module start software support for 1-wireless master device, and that is O.K. . Do you use RPi camera board ? or any other I2C devices ? Did you try with just one DS18B20 ...

Re: DS18B20 logging suddenly stopped
Hi,
Which version of kernel you use ? From some version you may use any available GPIO pin for 1-wire master input.
Try to restart RPi, and remove w1-gpio and w1-therm module, then try to use LED for blink testing.

Dubravko Penezic

Hi all, i must said i didnt read all post in this thread carefully, but i have one practice notice. First DS1307Z isnt good enough for RTC functionality on long run (error is to "big") instead I suggest to use DS3231. In both case use CR2032 battery. Finally it works for me on few places w...

Hi,
interesting tutorial, I have only one suggestion.
Instead of using RRDTools, store date in file/SQLite/MySQL database and visualization data using Highgraph.js .
RRDTool lost date by definition, and many time it is nice to have data like was collected.

Re: Is Raspberry Pi a good fit for this project?
Hi, not only wireless, you must count on slow RPi response, syslog use UDP packages, so you must count that some package may be lost . In your place i will look on RPi like very small, low performance server. For example, i run on one of my RPi GitLab, which is slow but work even if i am only user o...

Hi, simple answer is yes, however you must all the time count on "slow" and "low" level traffic. For logging you will need category 10 SD card. Regards, Dubravko Penezic I'm very new to Pi and have done quite a bit of poking around on google seeking these answers, and I think I'm...
