Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Pass on how RPI Cam Web can control this, but IIRC using the backlit metering mode should compensate to some extent for a single very bright source in the image. "-mm backlit" on the raspistill command line. How well it has been tuned on this sensor is a different question! edit: Actually selecting...

Re: Full FOV preview, 60 and 90fps modes released

Can this be used with RPi Web Cam Interface ?

Additional information: users of RPi Web Cam Interface in the mentioned thread actually are using following rpi-cam firmware, which was installed with command:

Code: Select all

sudo rpi-update 8660fe5152f6353dec61422808835dbcb49fc8b2

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Is it possible to define an area at cameras FOV which should be used for the "auto" exposure function? I have the problem, that my image contains a long huge window which is very bright. The auto exposure function fits the light according to this big window and the result is that the rest of the im...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I haven't tested this, but the option "width" in "Preview Options" sets the size of the video stream in the browser. I usually change this to 640, but in theory you could set this width to be the size of your screen. I'm not sure what sort of performance impact that would cause, but it should at le...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Why don't you do it the other way round if your connection is unstable? Tell your target computer to fetch and delete all the files on the raspi periodically when it is connected. Create a samba share for that. Another advantage is that your RASPI can operate independently if the connection is not ...

Hello all. It's a long time ago I looked into this thread because I was busy on some other work. I have seen that this great tool of silvianmelchor had some improvements and upgrades. As I did re-installed my RPi from scratch I decided to install also RPI Cam Web Interface from beginning. I cloned t...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

anyone can explain, why this RPI Cam method by silvianmelchor cannot show/record videos with full FOV possible?? If I use raspistill or raspivid I get a huge FOV, but all videos that are done through this interface are not complete. There are details missing. Is there no fix for that and if so why?

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I have solved it like that: sudo vi /etc/motion/motion.conf modified line 517: From: on_event_end echo 'ca 0' > /var/www/FIFO To: on_event_end echo 'ca 0' > /var/www/FIFO && mv /var/www/media/* /mydestdir That worked so far, so I will write a small bash script which will do the rsync part. But I hav...
