So the next batch of Zeros?

I'm sure this is a question thats asked about once every 10 minutes on here, but I was wondering how frequently the batches of Zeros are going out? I have been trying to get once since launch, including to try and get one with MagPi (not 5 like most people seem to have bought) and it seems consisten...

Re: OSMC on Rpi B+ works, but not RPi 2B?

Well Raspbian seems to be working fine, however Ubuntu mate doesnt, reading on their site, they suggest a class 6-10 because of the bottleneck, but after using win32diskimager to write the image to the card, it doesnt boot whatsoever!

Re: OSMC on Rpi B+ works, but not RPi 2B?

Regards OSMC the RP1 & 2 use different ARM CPU, therefore the developers offer different SD Card images for each variant...... Raspbian Wheezy and Jessie have support for both ARM architectures built in..... Windows 10 IoT specifically states Class 10 Cards on their website.... hmm I guess back to ...

OSMC on Rpi B+ works, but not RPi 2B?

I'm sure straight forward, but I bought an RPi 2B for my media centre I am building, I tested the OSMC OS on my B+ which is what I built it on before and it worked lovely all things considered. Got a Rpi 2B yesterday and thought, great I'll just swap the card and job done. Nope. It doesnt seem to bo...

Re: LCD programming..?

when I say the problem is with the mikezlcd, I think its to do with the way the pinout has been done, I may have put the numbers in wrong or something, so I need to look at my other adafruit display file and see if they match.

Re: LCD programming..?

Well I had another look at it, and using the # on everything, the more # I added the less worked. I think part of the problem might actually be the mikezlcd, as I hashed off loads of stuff and put in just one line which was the date and time which I knew was coded correctly and it didnt refresh the ...

Re: 2.8" aftermarket TFT touch screen pi connections?

I guess the thing I was mainly trying to understand is the GPIO connections compared to the pre-built plug and play modules.

I know things like MISO etc are labelled on the GPIO breakouts, but I guess I was thinking what about the SD card and is it plainly obvious about the touch connections too?

]These days the average webpage size is about 1.8MB; I think in 2002 when I was doing web design they were about 1.8mb, then people started doing their own web design putting silly amounts of pictures in in super highres and the decimal point moved to more like 18mb or maybe 180mb, some days I am n...

Re: video stream

is this a live feed?

If it was a post production video, you could use the raspberry pi as as a sort of web server to host the end file for someone to view, but as doug points out, a live video/audio stream you might need additional hardware.

havent had chance to try it again since the last post, but I get the feeling I did notice that but adding a bracket made no difference. So I also deleted L3 and L4 which then moved the error to L2. If I get chance tonight I'll give it a shot again and see if the code works with the extra bracket. Pa...

Re: Max environment operating temp?

Im not sure the Pi is probably going to be the issue, it will be the reliability of your hard drives working in more extreme conditions that needs also careful consideration. 115f = 46c, I'd imagine I ran my model A with its camera in conditions like those and it survived fine (installed in a securi...

2.8" aftermarket TFT touch screen pi connections?

Looking for some help attach an SPi 2.8 touchscreen tft display. All the tutorials I have come across seem to be plug and play straight onto the GPIO. I have one that has: VCC, GND, CS, Reset, D/C, SDI(mosi), SCK, LED, SDO(Miso) for the display and T_CLK, T_CS, T_DIN, T_DO, T_IRQ for the touch part ...

So I thought I'd give the coding ago on the Pi and see what happened, strangely it came up with a syntax error at 'L3', but it was pointing at the 'L3' none of the rest of the code. Tried a few different variations on the coding and it still came up with similar syntax code errors, I'm a bit confuse...

Is the Pi going to do anything else other than the solenoids? Is anyone going to buy the Pi Juice Hat? It's got an integrated real time clock. I wonder if you can program it to boot up and shut down your Pi? The Pi Juice would be ideal to use instead of battery banks. https://www.pi-supply.com/product/pijuice-standard/?v=79cba1185463 I looked at this a while ...

Power consumption on A and A+ models when fed from GPIO?

So I know that when the Rpi models went from the old revision to the new plus models, the power regulation changed on the boards, making the pi more efficient on power, to the point where a B+ used the same power as an original A. I was under the impression that this electrickery was done by a chang...
