The Right Power Supply

Hi guys! This time I need help to solve a future issue. I bought a USB Hub, a D-Link DUB-H7, which is fed by a 5v 3A and provides 0.5A for each USB port. ( here's a link: http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/connect/usb/dub-h7-7-port-usb-2-0-hub ) I used to power the Pi by the 1st one port, usi...

Re: libreria spi

Re: Connect 4x20 display directly to Raspberry Pi

You can buy a byvac microcontroller with a i2c/uart controller, in this way you'll use only two cables.

I bought a bv4618 which allows you a double connection, and contains a keypad controller

PWM Buzzer with GPIO in Python

Hi guys, i was wondering.. is there anyone who has written a code in python to sound a Buzzer? I got an old buzzer and a piezo, i've learnt that only one GPIO is able to reproduce PWM signals, but I don't know how to make it sound. Ok it works, because the 5v output it's not always 5 but almost 4.5
I got 2.83v from the divider and it works with the GPIO, thank you!

Re: 5v input into GPIO

I guess it's the same if i put a 2.7K at the top and a 4.7 at bottom, don't you?
Now i got only 1k, 10k, 100k, 2.7k and 4.7k (1/8W) at home

5v input into GPIO

Hi guys, i need an answer to my question.
I have a keypad that goes low if the cache contains characters, high if it's empty. Now the problem is that the high level of my keypad is about 4.5~5v, instead of 3.3v GPIO voltage.

How can I connect the keypad output to a GPIO without damaging anything?

Threading - Pausing thread1 while thread2 starts

Hi to all, I need help! I'm running two different threads basically. The 1st one updates the time on the LCD display, the 2nd one detects if a button on the GPIO is pressed, and then makes some actions.. these are the modules: 1st one def Timer(): data = "" sleep(1) while 1: if (data!=str(datetime.n...

Problem using I2C device & LCD

Hi to all! I bought an i2c device which connects a 20x4 display and a keypad in different ways, especially using i2c , UART or serial. I decided to connect it with the i2c port, so I installed everything as here: http://doc.byvac.com/index.php5?title=Product_BV4618 Now there's a big problem, the Pi ...
