Re: Raspberry pi communicating with the Parrallax Propellor

OH, I should clarify one more thing, I have yet to wire the components to the quick start board.

Re: Raspberry pi communicating with the Parrallax Propellor

no problems per say but as shown in the pi program the variable ch is supose to be displayed in the terminal and it is not. One of the intigrated led, the one connected to pin 23 on the quickstart board is suppose to turn on and it does not.

Raspberry pi communicating with the Parrallax Propellor

I need some help with this code to send commands down a usb cable from my pi to a propelled quick start board. (If you are wondering I this code is from a discussion on Parallax's forum that I modified) CON _CLKMODE = XTAL1 + PLL16X _XINFREQ = 5_000_000 ServoCh1 = 3 ServoCh2 = 2 input_pin=0 input_pi...

running a program at start up

It is any way possible for a program to start running automaticly when the pi starts? My robot I am using my pi to control is very small and has no room for any type of screen or keyboard and I think it would be a pain to connect one everytime it starts up.

Re: uart and propellor

here is the spin code I use. If you are not familiar with spin go to Parallax's website. They two really good books on their website for free con _CLKMODE=XTAL1+PLL2X _XINFREQ =5_000_00 obj Ser : "FullDuplexSerial" pub start send:=6 outout:=22 Ser.start(31, 30, 0, 38400) send:=20 repeat ser.tx(send)...

uart and propellor

If you have seen my previous posts, you know I am trying to get a propellor development board to communicate with my pi. Well I think almost got it by using the in built UART port. Unfortuantly the communications is not working. I belive I got it wired correctly, gnd to gnd, robot rx to pi tx and vi...

maybe I should have made that last post more clear. The frontal and opcitial lobes are parts of the brain that deal with high level though and vision respectfully. I try to connect the pi to a proplleror development board

I am wondering if anyone has managed to free the uart of the pi using the debian operating system. I tried myself using method outlined in tutorial for weezy and it did not work. If you have please tell me how( note by the time you read this post I might have found the answer I seek)

Re: Any good robotic arms out there?

http://www.lynxmotion.com/ and http://www.crustcrawler.com/ make very good robotic arms kits and sell parts to make your own. As for scratch, I guess you can replace the controller boards they come with the pi try it that way, other than that I don't know

Re: Raspberry pi and Parallax Propellor

well I am back. made some progress with the propellor. Decided to use python instead of c and save me some headaches. I still have some problems though and some questions. First there seems to be a bug in my code import usb bus=usb.busses() device=bus[0].devices[0] _devhandle=device.open() _devhandl...
