Re: Will this work?

Yes but wifi might only be for a few hundred metres and bluetooth only 5 to 20 metres or so. Depends on the Bluetooth. Class 1 is around 100 meters, or where I'm from about 330[ish] feet :). Which is not bad, but as I look around I don't see it being easy to deal with video over Bluetooth anyway. S...

Re: How do you mount a USB Drive?

Thanks Stu, didn't know I had to choose a the number, in the guide I was following it said it would just be 'sda' if that's what it said in dmesg, which it did. Thank joan, found out from that that it was actually sda2! So I put that with Stu's code and it mounted! Now, is it possible to make it au...

Will this work?

I'm getting ready to build/buy a quadrocopter or maybe a 6 or 8 blade, but anyway I am looking for a way to beam live footage while I am flying it. I have a older coaxial heli with a camera on it and while it is cool to take movies of flight, I want to see it while it is flying. My thoughts are hook...

if you don't want to install Linux, just get VMware player and make a virtual machine, attach the sd card or image to it and work away.

Re: Best language to rewrite a VB 6.0 app

VB.Net is an entirely different language from the perspective of a VB6 developer and it most definitely will not run a VB6 "exe" file. I have heard others recommend Gambas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambas as an alternative for VB6 users. Whilst it "is" different, it is also very similar in many ...

I would check that either your usb cable sucks, or the wall wart it is connected to is not putting out good power through said cable. Replace either and or and see how it runs.

How can I do this? chroot crontab

Ok so I have by BuildBot working great for XBMC and Raspberry Pi. Now I need to automate it. I have crons for both my Linux builds, I wrote a program In VB to do all my Win32 Builds [all 6 of them] and I wrote a program in VB to do my Xbox builds. Now how can I automate my chrooted environment for R...

Alright, wow. I really appreciate you looking into that so deep. I'll have to ask them directly then. As for the first post about copyright protection: I honestly have no idea how to check if it is stopped by that. THAT should be handled by --enable-dvdcss which is a real grey area to be sur...

Re: XBMC and a USB CD/DVD not working.

welp after hours and hours of recompile attempt after recompile attempt it seems that there is a really good reason that they want the --disable-optical-drive switch. It screws with the build process badly. I can pretty much get every other switch that is disabled to enable and compile, but not that...

Re: Prevent SD-Card Corruption

I'd personally try a different power supply or usb cable. I TORTURE my raspi and it has only corrupted the card one time and that was when I had it overclocked to over 900mhz. When I had a really cheap PSU and cable it happened a few times, but after I changed both out I never have a corruption issu...

Re: Using Pi as a webserver, install Javascript?

The built in browser for raspbian blows. Open a command prompt and type "sudo apt-get install iceweasel" and when it's done you will have a full "firefox" installed which does do proper javascript on raspi.

Ok blows might have been a little harsh...a little....
