Re: Copy image to multiple SD Cards.

Yes you can. I would think it would go faster due to writing to a card is slower than reading. Google found me http://superuser.com/questions/145516/cloning-single-disk-drive-to-multiple-drives-simultaneously which basically says cat drive.image | tee >(dd of=/dev/sda) >(dd of=/dev/sdb) >(dd of=/dev...

Re: External hard disk wont mount

Going back to what you first said ....
sudo nano /etc/fstab
And added a rule: UUID=70B4E8E1B3E7AB34 /hddmount ntfs default 0 0
sudo mount -a
I NEVER use the UUID. put in /dev/sdx instead. It always works for me that way.

Re: External hard disk wont mount

When you removed it from the PC did you "eject disk" cos it looks like the rPi does not "like" the drive. Mount the drive on the PC and then remove it correctly by ejecting it.

Re: Copy image to multiple SD Cards.

A nice little script will do that for you :) If you mount all the devices then try ... #!/bin/bash for i in 1 2 3 4 5 do echo "Starting to program $i" dd if=/path/to/image of=/dev/sd$i bs=1M echo "We have completed $i" done I have not tested this substitution of the loop variable $i in this ... mayb...

You are using TWO greater than signs ? One makes the file EXACTLY what you put in to it. Two appends to the end.

Show us your script and we might be able to help.

Re: Onewire temperature logging

Be much easier to put the program into a cron job. The cron job set to run every hour. Note that any paths etc you need will have to be setup. I usually call the program from a bash script. So the one supplied would look like... #!/bin/bash temperature=`your program to read chip` echo $temperature >...

Re: Cannot connect to internet via network bridge?

Some of the network bridges only allow one IP address ( one device ) to use it. Try rebooting the bridge with only the Pi connected.

Re: Cannot ping local network (Wifi only)

Some access points do not allow things on the wifi to talk to each other. Its like an internet cafe setting to stop someone hacking your laptop from theirs. Have a look on your access point or ADSL router for its wireless settings.

Hi All. I have now got the Pi talking to the invertor and putting the output into the syslog AND out to http://pvoutput.org ( see my output at http://pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=8646&sid=7015&dt=20121201&gs=0&m=1 ) This is a list of things I did. Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi All

I've just signed up here. I got a rPi coming to replace a deceased server to power on and off my 1KW immersion heater off the PV when theres enough power.

I've got 5 kids, likes playing with electronics, I know *nix. And I ride a Suzuki GSR600 too :)

Re: Control my immersion heater.

I used to use a debian server using a bluetooth to connect to my SunnyBoy 3600TL. Their scripts then pulled off the current power, and I used my script to pull this info out of the syslog. If the power was over 1800W then the 1Kw immersion is switched on. If its below 1200 then it switches off. It a...
