Re: NFS underground 1 if the pi had 512mb ram?

quick answer no

longer answer

RAM does not come into it - processor architecture does

it may be possible to make it work but probably not.

why do you ask the question?

have you read the FAQ ?[not that it answers this but...]

IPCop may be worth a look,

they build it from LFS, so changing to an arm build may be easy [sic]

you just use a HDMI cable from the PI to the monitor [if the monitor can accept HDMI], if not then your going to need one that does.

need and want are not the same thing.

you cannot pass off the RPi as your uni project ;-p

you can use it though

and you don't need to know what it's like under the chip cover

Re: Where is the documentation?

mostly what is inside is dirty silicon ,

but I bet that is not what your really asking.

how to use it well,

you plug power in one end, a HDMI monitor in other , a keyboard and mouse , in a 3rd and a network lead if you want..

;-p

Re: Do you think the Raspberry ft is powerful enough to do this at the same time?

again it depends...

a lot of this will be much better understood after we get RPi's in the wild, it *can* work - but maybe not as you would expect - mainly what * exactly* do you want to do ?

Re: High definition audio (really high)

using stupid numbers

44.1khz is 150kbps is 1.23Mbps which is equivalent to usb 1 speed [1.5Mbit/s] 12Mbit/s full speed usb 1

480Mbit/s on USB 2 [which is what the RPi has]

so you can make up your own numbers now

[ok ok ok I know]

Re: Is there going to be an official case?

it has been said - yes

not for the 1st 10k but later

if you want a case it would be advisable to wait to buy it from the 2nd or 3rd batch [xx]
