Re: Pi frozen

download a fresh copy of raspbian ,
stuff that on a spare micro sd card
boot that
if that works reinstall your stuff from instructions you have followed
noting at what part it all fails
post that result with all the info you have gleaned up to then

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

WiFi MAC address changes My older Pis up to Pi 3B all have MAC addresses B8:27:EB:xx:xx:xx (Raspberry Pi Foundation) The Pi4 has DC:A6:32:xx:xx:xx (Raspberry Pi Trading) What's the significance of this change - apart from making the Pi a bit harder to spot in IpScan24? a different Ethernet chip.. ?

Re: Reasoning behind dual Micro HDMI, and potential future alternatives?

Looking again, it is full size hdmi. So the suggestion is to use an adaptor on either end? Where I live, adaptors like that are $30 each. Plus the cable, another $15, bringing the total to $75 (that's AUD also, not USD) That wouldn't be my preferred choice... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3291912...

most posts speculating on future products will get locked
especially if it looks like a troll post
I agree more info could of been given but I've seen a lot of posts like that this week anyway so it probably gets to the mods

This article lists a few enclosures to give you an idea of what I am talking about: https://www.anandtech.com/show/13953/plugable-usbcnvme-toolless-nvme-ssd-enclosure-capsule-review Is this technically possible? Or is the pi limited to only sata drives? if you plug it into the usb 3 socket you will...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

My main comment is less about the new hardware than to hope that the advent of USB3 might encourage case or HAT designers to offer something that would allow eg an M.2 SSD to be integrated within footprint of the Pi (I guess a 180°USB adapter would be unavoidable). It's immediately more clumsy to h...
