Hi Lonewolff.
rpdom's right - that page is the right place to start.
If you're looking into starting your own Jam and need advice on how to get going, feel free to send me an email. I co-organise the Cambridge Jam. My email is [email protected]

All the best,
Mike

I'd be willing to bet it's the former - an undervoltage. As Mahjongg says, power the Pi and the motors separately.

I'm sure you can do that by defining a function...
There's an example of a function at:

Hi.
The talks will be posted up on YouTube in the next few days. It'll just take a little while to split the recording up and upload :-)

Re: Dont know where to start with robotics and the Pi

Hi Nico.
You could start with something like the CamJam EduKit - http://camjam.me/edukit
It gives you a bunch of components and a series of worksheets to work through that teaches you the fundamentals of working with electronics attached to the Pi.

Re: Building a WebGUI for the first time

Hi MadMel.
I suggest starting here:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 43&t=63276
to get the camera streaming working.
You could then use jQuery or some other Javascript to read in key-presses and send Ajax calls to your robot control script.

Not sure if that helps at all?

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Many many +1s for getting this working so smoothly. I actually got a 403 error when trying to do a git clone, (for some reason it asked for a login!) but I downloaded it as a .zip onto my Pi and unzipped and it just worked. :-) Combine that with http://www.averagemanvsraspberrypi.com/2013/09/using-r...

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

Can I ask some really dumb questions? * If I'm developing a simple add-on board for the B+ that uses the 40 pins as they've been specified, do I _need_ to worry about the EEPROM? i.e. If you don't connect anything to the EEPROM pins, does it really matter? * Presumably if I'm developing a GPIO board...
