I *think* it will do what you want it to do. It should theoretically allow you to remote-desktop into your Pi across the web.

You could take a look at the Black Hat Hack3r board from Pimoroni - that will give you both a 40-pin header to plug the board into and also broken-out pins to plug the EduKit into
