Re: Stereoscopic Raspberry Pi Camera ISSUE!

Thinking about your problem, I was just thinking how to do a stereoscopic camera... The only way, really, if you want decent FPS using the Pi camera module is to have two cameras, and therefore two Pis. You'd need to figure out some way to sync them so that the two video streams/photographs were dis...

If you're in the Cambridge area on February 8th, there's a Raspberry Jam where we'll have some vendors selling Pis.

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

Thanks for replying. No luck with those suggestions, however. It doesn't appear to be a permissions problem (the camera _does_ start) and it really does seem that the problem only occurs when motion is detected!

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

Hi. I've been following the instructions from here: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/665518/Raspberry-Pi-as-low-cost-HD-surveillance-camera which seem to be fairly sensible. The camera starts up okay but when it detects movement the service stops itself and restarts (according to the log). The LE...

Cambridge Jam - 8th February - call for presenters etc

Our next Raspberry Jam (CamJam!) is on Saturday 8th February. It will, once again, be held at the Institute of Astronomy. Contrary to what we said a couple of times last Saturday, it’s unlikely to be any smaller, but we won’t be changing the format too much. We will be running programming workshops ...

That means that there are some tickets available for the afternoon session (http://camjam.eventbrite.co.uk). If you’re free and would like to come, please contact me either through...

Hi.
Might be a good idea to do an English-language version of that page so we all know what you're talking about.

Re: Minimizing The Pi

Can we all just calm down? It seems to me like someone just thought they had a good idea about a stripped-down Pi. Whether you like the idea or not, there's no need to jump all over someone just for having an idea, especially when they're a new member of the community. Yes, the Model C has been disc...
