In my case, I have observed that wifi is not stable when there is lot of continuous data transfer happens. (I tried torrent downloads using wifi and when torrent starting to pick up speed pi get hung).
I used Netgear WNA1000M adapter.

I have installed pidgin on two of my raspberry pis. After using it for some time. It is crashing the pi. I tried on two of pis and it crashed both of them
I am running raspbmc latest and was running pidgin over a vnc session?
