Re: Single power supply for both 12v and 5v

I had this same question myself in this post: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=30949&p=268886#p268886 I wanted a 12v 2a for a motor and 5v 2a for the pi. I ended up buying the power supply that was in the thread and a cheap micro usb cable. I then ripped apart the cable end and...

Re: One PSU for Pi, WebCam, Wifi and 12v Motor

I only need micro-usb and a 12v power and ground, will the above be ok with that?

If so, I'd better get searching for connectors...

Thanks for the link. I was hoping for one that I wouldn't have to hack apart and mess about with too much.

Is there such a thing?

One PSU for Pi, WebCam, Wifi and 12v Motor

Hi all, Got a little project that is nearly it's completion and just looking to plug in (literally) the final piece of the puzzle. I want to be able to power my Pi, USB Camera, Wifi Dongle and a 12v dc gear motor, from one slim-as-possible wall plug power supply. The way I have things at the moment ...

What's the most powerful motor possible with L298N?

Hi all, I've been looking around on the pololu website below and wondered if anyone could help me choose the most powerful gear motor that I can use with my H-Bridge linked below. I'm going to be turning a monitor on it's stand so I need the motor with the most torque. I was going to power the motor...

Re: Siri: Open my garage door..

That's amazing! Gonna have to get this integrated into my stuff for sure! How does the author manage to get it to return numbers/strings like the thermostat temperature dynamically though? Any idea? I have some output coming from a python script that I'd like to feed back to the user. End of hijack ...

Looking for stepper motor help please...

Hi all, I'm planning on creating a motorised swivel stand for my LED TV. What I intend to do is print out the parts necessary to mount a stepper motor (and gears if necessary) inbetween my TV and the exisiting stand, and send commands to the Pi to move the viewing angle a certain amount of degrees. ...

Re: OpenCV on ARCH and working out distance between faces

I got this working BTW. I actually busted my kahonies trying to get this working on my first pi. I followed some guides on the net, but for anyone who wants to get this done much quicker and less busted kahonies, install SimpleCV. It installs the latest OpenCV and brings it all together without the ...

In any case, I still wouldn't mind getting an answer to the python script question if anyone can help.

I'll give that a look, but I know nothing about php.

Is it impossible to do with something like this:

<body>
<form action="./cgi-bin/2facedetectpi.py" method="get">
<p>Click here: <button type="submit">Submit</button>

Run python script from HTML button on web page

Hi all, I've got what to me sounds like quite a simple ask, but I can't for the life in me get it to actually work. I've written a program in python that uses OpenCV to detect how many people are looking at my webcam and prints: 'Number of faces seen: N' 'Position of face1: xN1, yN2' 'Position of fa...

OpenCV on ARCH and working out distance between faces

Hi all,

Got a little project that I'm doing that requires me to find out the distance between n people who are sat in front of the camera.

I've had a try at getting OpenCV working on ARCH but to no avail.

Can anyone give me any guidance on how to do this or is OpenCV my only bet?

Thanks
