Also, now I've done some work on a script in NuScratch and saved it as test, it is auto loading test back in when I restart nuScratch instead of just displaying a blank project! Simon Ah! Thank you all for hitting on this so quickly. Please keep it coming! I'm working as hard as I can to fix everything I can get a handle on but some of them are *really* hard to debug. And at some point I do have to take some time away from working to do the other parts of life...

X in top right of window Oh! That form of exit. Well that is a horse of a completely different coloured fish kettle. That's the 'quit squeak' dialogue and not the Scratch is quitting' one. Hmm. Interesting. Oddly enough there is a comment in the code that rather strongly implies it can't be done and yet, in old scratch it does it. That'll be fun to track down.

Beta 12 is now up at https://github.com/raspberrypi/scratch/ ... Beta12.tgz for your delight and delectation. Lots more bug fixes and this is essentially Release Candidate 1 so fingers crossed.

Thanks iw1; this is why it's always important to have multiple testers. Everybody does things differently and uncovers different issues. Sound: this is very odd and I think has to be some aspect of ALSA setup. On my Pi I certainly get some more reverb with NuScratch than old scratch - but on my iMac...

Aaaaaannnnd Beta11 is now up for your pleasure. An updated VM complete with non-pink stage. Fixes for still more bugs, such as duplicate sprites having wrongly matching names, list variables not working, rotated and filtered sprites going wonky, multiline text etc. This is almost the general release...
