Re: Cannot execute .jar file [manifest]

If you decided to put some more into coding with Java I wholeheartedly suggest you pick up something like maven and organise project as per it. And adopt IDE of choice to do it in. I've done something recently and it was similar to: http://www.mkyong.com/maven/how-to-create-a-java-project-with-maven...

Good to know! I did sending messages using MQTT recently and got it working on a computer and the RPi and automatically assumed it would work with Android, too... (which was wrong) You need separate package for android implementation of MQTT....

Did you, by any chance, log that issue on: https://github.com/Pi4J/pi4j/issues/
If not - I don't mind doing it for you :)

Re: Remote JavaFX developer Pi and Windows

Not exactly what you asked but might be what you want: http://remotevm.abstracthorizon.org/ You start jar file on your RPi, setup Eclipse on your PC/laptop and code. Selecting run from Eclipse will transfer all needed classpath stuff to RPi and start app. All System.out from your app running on RPi ...

Re: Java Garbage Problem for GPIO

Not saying this is the way forward, but I've seen people using System.gc() calls when they think it is 'safe' to do garbage collection for hope they won't occur when they don't want them. Maybe you should give it a go?

Re: How to install dependencies and run class in Pi?

Ideally you would create a maven project, add those dependencies to pom.xml, build it and then decided what to do: copy the whole project to RPi and then run it from maven or setup maven to produce 'uberjar' ('onejar' or whatever it is called), build it and copy that jar to RPi and run it there with...

Re: Driver Issues with Libgdx on Raspberry Pi 3

If this ends up being solved, I am more than happy to include it to 'alternative' build, produce 'binaries' and publish them to private repo until better solution.

It would be nice to have both lwjgl and jogl working.

Re: libGDX on raspberryPi 3

Hi, I've watched your video and I think I know where you might have made a mistake: 1. you 'created' LibGDX project over existing sources 2. asked setup program to create eclipse files 3. then you amended build.gradle 4. then you imported it in Eclipse as 'Eclipse project' Now, there are two bits th...

Re: libGDX on raspberryPi 3

After amending project.gradle you need to right click on the project(s) (grouped up projects? or repeat for each individually) and select 'Update All' for gradle Eclipse plugin to update class paths. Alternative is to drop them from Eclipse (delete) and re-import it. Another idea is to check out exa...

Re: Serial Interrupt

Just for my curiosity - why would you want to do so? It should be enough for you to rely on drivers that are already there and just do blocked IO on serial port through pi4j. You can always do that IO in separate thread so it won't take any CPU. Indirectly you would, with it, use interrupt but witho...

Re: libGDX on raspberryPi 3

Yeah, that's my fault. Sorry. You need to add: compile "com.badlogicgames.gdx:gdx-backend-jogamp:$gdxVersion" next (after? instead?) compile "com.badlogicgames.gdx:gdx-backend-lwjgl:$gdxVersion" in project(":desktop") dependencies section. I'll update original post. BTW I've followed my instructions...

There is only one built version at the moment: 1.9.5.rpi-SNAPSHOT Line: "Next is for 'allprojects\ext\gdxVersion' to have new value: '1.9.5.rpi-SNAPSHOT'. That's one of the snapshots (currently a build from the source as of week starting on 17th October 2016) of LibGDX with 'bits'(**)." Hopefully th...

Re: libGDX on raspberryPi 3

@Juicepress that exception you've posted here is exactly why you need ARM version of it. If you switch to version I pre-built and deployed to my repository it *should* work. Any issues let me know. At some point I should make new build with the latest version of LibGDX again. Hopefully this time it ...

Jar is going to work only if it has native libraries for destination platform (in this case ARM of RPi). I think that default RPi does not have them - hence my previous post.

I don't think it is as simple as that. Maybe you want to read more about the chip itself (for instance here: https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/ads1015.pdf ). Re: [JAVA]KeyEvent - Distinguish between two keyboards

OK - I am not sure you can exactly distinguish between two, but... X windows can be set up in such way that there are two (or more!) keyboards (and mice) each (pair) belonging to separate 'focus'. So practically you can attach two keyboards and two mice, do the setup and have two people working on t...
