Honestly, the tutorial needs to be cleaned up, because if someone was going to try and do this - they will only get confused because they are bouncing from tutorial to comment and back again. Nice guide, ditch bridge-utils and locate - not necessary. Set key to 2048 imho, 1024 minimum otherwise why are you bothering with vpn in the first place. Hi Arehexes, Maybe your VPN creates a virtual network not connected to your physical network. You can check this by looking up the IP and subnet of your client device when connected with VPN and compare it to the network settings of the host (your Pi). It's possible that the Windows machines block the Ping. Firewall settings or some Norton/McAffee Protection Suite.

All I want to add is that it's not "simply ...". It will take a lot of time and energy. The result is your a Boss (You + Pi + Linux knowledge = Boss) and you own a great Torrent Box (like what I'm using, and I love it).

And if your goal is to encrypt outgoing traffic, you don't need a VPN server and client, you could create a TOR Node and add your traffic to the TOR traffic.
