Re: Crash of XBMC (RaspBMC)

Hi all, Since a few weeks now, scanning for new media files on my RaspBMC box will result in XBMC crashing. I've enabled the debugging log and here (attached) it is, but I think there's nothing in there worth while.. Cheers, Thijs Had something to do with a temp directory used by SABNZB being scann...

Honestly, the tutorial needs to be cleaned up, because if someone was going to try and do this - they will only get confused because they are bouncing from tutorial to comment and back again. Just trying to help out. It's updated, thanks for your feedback! Didn't put it in the WiKi, I do not unders...

Thanks for the tutorial. What do mean enter my values: export KEY_COUNTRY="US" export KEY_PROVINCE="CA" export KEY_CITY="SanDiego" export KEY_ORG="OpenVPN" export KEY_EMAIL="myemail@mydomain.com" Where do I get these details from? I'm a RPI noob just got it yesterday so bare with me :-) Would it be possible to have CouchPotato + torrent download + XBMC in one RPI? With what OS? OpenLec is 'impossible' right? only with xbian or raspbmc? Would...

Re: OpenVPN tutorial

What type of nmap scan are you doing, OpenVPN by default uses UDP 1194 Ash nmap localhost port 1194 is in the config file, yes. I have no webserver running, but that shouldn't be a problem i guess. However if i browse to my own http://ipaddress:1194 i should get access to my vpn admin no? I've neve...

Re: OpenVPN tutorial

Nice guide, ditch bridge-utils and locate - not necessary. Set key to 2048 imho, 1024 minimum otherwise why are you bothering with vpn in the first place. Could add a bit about adding client setups: 1. Android Keychain using openssl to generate a p12 cert bundle 2. iPhone/iPad using inline config T...

Thanks for the guide. I have been trying to follow it and I am now stuck with the openvpn. I have access to an openvpn server that provides a client.ovpn file with keys and certificates. I am not quite sure I to install that to make the vpn connection. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Hi Zago...

Hello! I was following this tutorial, along with others, and I seem to have difficulty setting up the routing for all traffic to the OpenVPN Server on my Pi. Re: DLNA VPN help

Hi Arehexes, Maybe your VPN creates a virtual network not connected to your physical network. You can check this by looking up the IP and subnet of your client device when connected with VPN and compare it to the network settings of the host (your Pi). I think you need to bridge your VPN to the phys...

Maybe I can route the DTS sound trough HDMI to my TV and then from my TV to the amplifier using the stereo-jack on my TV. Sounds like a crazy solution, so it must be good!

DTS to analogue - bass problem

Hi there, My Pi is loaded with Raspbmc (xbmc) and it's working great, but.. When I play a movie that has DTS, the Pi converts it to my analog simpel stereo output and that's where I loose the quality of low tones. The bass, during an explosion for example, sounds like somebody steps on a bag of dori...

It's possible that the Windows machines block the Ping. Firewall settings or some Norton/McAffee Protection Suite.

Can the Windows machines ping the Windows machines?

Re: Noob torrent server with VPN help.

Great advice and link by Hexark.

All I want to add is that it's not "simply ...". It will take a lot of time and energy. The result is your a Boss (You + Pi + Linux knowledge = Boss) and you own a great Torrent Box (like what I'm using, and I love it).

Re: Using a VPN on the RPI

Did you try:
sudo apt-get install pptp-linux

Did you read this:
http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto ... ml#install

And if your goal is to encrypt outgoing traffic, you don't need a VPN server and client, you could create a TOR Node and add your traffic to the TOR traffic.
