oh thank you for correcting me I didn't know about that stuff on the psp... but even then the pi massively outperforms it as far as ram and gpu.

well scinse we can't manually mess with the code is there a way we can make a java compiler? because an interpriter is just a compiler that runs with the program right? Please feel free to tell me why this is redicules

well didn't it say "when people stop buying the game OR after an undisclosed time from the full vershon comeing out"? I'm pretty sure thats what it said a few months ago... it may have changed due to the fact minecraft is really mojangs only succsesful product (that I know of)

as you said rpi would have an overhead that regular consoles don't have. the idea of a custom distro is to make that overhead as small as possible. basicly the idea is a sort of "could I manage it?" progect. the distrobution was sort of a side thing like "wouldn't that be cool?" any way I can't pers...

sorry 60fps isn't accurate. I have managed it but I was on skyblock... 24fps is probably closer to average in a calm envirnment ex. no redstone water mobs fire lava basicly ai and animation

well actually I have started work on some games. my goal is to make them playable on the pi. but I meant more along the lines of a custom gaming linux distro... any idea on how I could make one?

any way "command and conquer generals zero hour" might work on the pi? it takes about 128mb ram but runs in windows from a disc its from 2003 and is still one of my favorite games

about getting the neccicary scource cod maby the minecraft coder pack? or wait till that undisclosed open scourcing date? it can't be long now the full game has come out (that is its out of beta) you can find the scource of this info on mincraft.net under "about"

actually despite what many peaple say the rpi might have some chance of running minecraft two problems I can see are ram limitations due to gpu to cpu split and sheer proccesor speed. I have managed to get up to 60 fps with 1gb ram (minecraft at default only allocates 512mb) with all setting down at...
