microSD card holder request or bust!

maybe it's just me, but wouldn't a flush RPi look and function better? the current SD card holder is easily bust. first I bust one side, so the acrylic glue is too hard to bust that side, and the other side bust... ie on opening case, having forgotten to remove SD card. £9.48 for a microSD card hold...

Re: OV5647 vs 400 grit, or: how to remove the IR filter

regarding dust removal, on a PS3 eye camera an artist's paint brush does the trick.

seems strange but works well, can't say why.

it may be the sensor has some glass or similar plate on top, don't know.

even seems to remove finger prints.

Sunex produce similar lens in M8, M7, M5 sizes but not 6mm thread that I could find.

DSL757 & DSL756 are similar:

Re: Foundation Camera Board information

[quote="M33P"]a modest amount of work..
what did you twist the lens with?

gave myself a real shock,
as the whole lens with ribbon detaches fairly easily.
luckily no harm done, cheesy fit.

but epoxy must be present still,
will leave until morning...

what is the thread size? [quote="M33P"]If you unscrew the lens from the default position you can get a minimum ~6cm focal length. The FOV isn't spectacular though - about 30 degrees. Do I understand the lens remains in place, barely held by a thread? iirc astrophotography doesn't rely on IR, just tr...

Re: ROI?

James,

I understand ROI is widely used in measurement,
and similar to binning,
for instance to provide faster frame rates,
in extreme cases a single column can be monitored.

I'd like to get my hands dirty, and just wonder what hooks will be available.

many thanks once again
