Re: MagPi – Raspberry Pi Magazine

You can get Debian here:

http://www.debian.org/distrib/

Yes - it's better to do something on Debian than Racy/WaryPy in the MagPi.

Re: MagPi – Raspberry Pi Magazine

I will have a look at this- I have the RPi Debian OS running on Windows (and Linux!) in QEMU, but the VBox option might let me do more with it!

Re: VirtualBox image of WaryPy

I tried it in the latest version of VB on a friend's PC. It seemed okay. Did you choose "other linux" and "linux 2.6" when setting it up?

Re: MagPi – Raspberry Pi Magazine

512 would be plenty. I set mine up with 256. My laptop runs Racy or Wary very well in 256mb.

Hope you find it useful!

Re: VirtualBox image of WaryPy

I realise that this will soon be irrelevant as we will all have our RPi computers. But here's a vdi of WaryPy. No PAE needed and all the Python/Pygame stuff you need to get started.

Re: MagPi – Raspberry Pi Magazine

I've made a version of Wary with all the Python stuff. This will run in VirtualBox without PAE.

Here's a .vdi of a frugal install.

You'll need to select "other linux" and "2.6" when you set it up.

WaryPy.vdi
