Re: Can I Teach my 4 Year Old to Program?
Interesting stuff. I personally wouldn't worry about programming (in the coding sense) at that age, but would teach / encourage computational thinking and problem solving skills as you have been doing. Have a look at Computer Science Unplugged , which teaches loads of CS concepts without a computer....

...My new ARM computer cost me £58. Delivered. In two days ... Why should I fulfil my Pi registration i.e., what am I missing? Discuss. :ugeek: I though we already had. Repeatedly and at length. It's been done to death and we know where threads like this go, so I'm locking it. (The misleading title...

Or use Google site specific search eg
site:raspberrypi.org/phpbb3 hdmi
[Locking as known issue that's being looked at.]

Re: new forum search
Length of search terms is a very poor way of assessing usefulness of a query. "vga" is highly topical, whereas "and" is not. Rejection of words less than four letters and the rejection of words that occur a lot are two different things. HDMI (or "raspberry" or "li...

Re: new forum search
You can try a directed google search like:
site:raspberrypi.org/phpBB3 "hdmi to vga"
but the common words threshold does seem rather sensitive - I'll look at it.

Alternatively, get a language course and fill you head with foreign goodness
You can learn a lot in 30 hours.
Michel Thomas courses recommend, Pimsleur also good.
But if you are set on a podcast it has to be The Food Programme

Static FAQ?
Please can we have a static FAQ page please? The commented one kills Firefox dead and isn't good on Chrome and IE either. There was a static page here at one time during the testing and it made me very happy :) Now I am sad :( I just don't get the purpose of the the Word Press-esque one once athe FA...

@tufty. Agreed: AdBlock and FlashBlock (and a couple of other cackfilters) are the only reason I can still use the Web in 2012 without going on a beserker rampage several times a day. And yes, text only sigs are a must!
