Seems that they are aware of the there being an issue - from their FAQ

This might be enough (all USB off - including the built-in Ethernet)

Disable
echo 0x0 > /sys/devices/platform/bcm2708_usb/buspower
Enable

Re: Touch Screen LCD

There are a couple of people that I am aware of who have made some progress with this (outside of the core RPi team). Peter Vis claims to have managed to get a tablet screen working (in a basic form) via the RPi DSI connector - and has documented parts of it including pin outs on the RPi side. http:...

Re: Raspberry Pi A+ USB port bent pins

Are the RPi Foundation team aware of this one?
Not suggesting it is a big problem and clearly the return rate will be a great indicator but if the team behind the device is aware of the small number of reports here (and says so) then people would know that it is likely to be looked into.

Re: Model A sold "only" 100,000 units - a flop ?

I can understand the frustration but in this case the details have come out quite close to the announcement (I presume) and RPI Foundation has been talking about the existence of the A+ for a long time so any effects on sales of A/B/B+ are probably not significantly different. Other companies who ar...

Re: Stream Video from one Pi to another

Perhaps the player on the display RPi does not use the GPU to accelerate playback - or it does support it in principle but cannot with the codec that is being used. Sorry that this is not very conclusive - but my suggestion ... try quitting XBMC and using tools from command line (like omxplayer) and...

Re: RPi as a DVR for OTA TV, is it possible?

My only problem is with the 2TB drive filling up. - I have lots of auto-recordings setup including "all films" Does it know to avoid duplicates (eg recording SD and HD version or repeats)? If yes ... does it also know that a short break between 2 films of the same name is probably just a news break...

We've all known that there has been a design objective to address the Altoids issue

Rounded corners and a bit less long might just do it with the smaller A+

If you have one ... try another USB port on the TV - also, a shorter USB lead perhaps.

Re: Model A sold "only" 100,000 units - a flop ?

I seem to remember an interview with a RPF person (perhaps Gordon) where he said that the A+ will not be the same board as the B+
My guess would be for something with a significantly smaller footprint.

The Squeezeplug creator has not been around for a long time - and no updates.
I have tried to make contact with him by email a couple of times in recent months but not had a reply.
Perhaps he is unwell.

You could add Bluetooth sensing to detect when your follower is in your shadow!
