Re: Raspbian wheezy swap

Raspbian wheezy swap

Hi to all, I red that raspbian uses dphys-swapfile swap instead of a swap partition.
I have a 8GB class10; I know that each SD has a limited number of writing cycle and I don't want to damage my sd sooner. Can I use an old 256MB usb drive to move the swap file there?
Is it too slow?
How can I do it?

Re: HDMI CEC and XBMC

Thank you for the great work, it works like a charm with Raspbian and XBMC compiled from source. Now I am looking for a way to execute custom commands by pressing unused buttons. For example the "RED" Button for executing XBMC. Background: I want to use Raspbian for a few more things than just XBMC...

Re: Broken Add-ons in XBMC on Raspbian

I installed precompiled XBMC from http://selfprogramming.bplaced.net/ and as soon as I start XBMC I have this error.
How can I solve it?

Raspbian + XBMC

Hi to all, I installed some minutes ago the precompiled XBMC version found there (http://selfprogramming.bplaced.net/). I tried 3 times to compile my XBMC from source but each time the Raspberry hangs after 8/10 hours of work. I'm not a linux expert but I have a question: why there isn't a package f...

Cpu overclocked freq

Hi to all, I'm using the raspbian wheezy img taken from this site. I manually edited the config.txt file: #uncomment to overclock the arm. 700 MHz is the default. arm_freq=1000 # for more options see http://elinux.org/RPi_config.txt core_freq=500 sdram_freq=500 over_voltage=6 #added by me gpu_freq=3...
